Baggies to seek £1 million compensation for Mowbray
By Jemma Tappenden
May 26 2009
Celtic will have to pay up to £1 million compensation to West Bromwich Albion if they are successful in luring the Baggies gaffer away form the Hawthorns to Celtic. Bookmakers today made Tony Mowbray the favourite to take over from Gordon Strachan despite him having two years left to run on his contract with Albion.

Mowbray is believed to be interested in talking to the SPL club, but for matters of integrity will not do so until a compensation deal between the two clubs has been thrashed out.

Recently relegated Albion are expected to ask for up to £1 million in compensation, which could see Mowbray well out of reach for the Scottish side.
