Chris Brunt
It won't come as much surprise to anyone that top flight clubs are sniffing around the talent at the Hawthorns, but Baggies fans will be hoping they can hold on to the majority of their stars in order to launch a serious promotion bid in August.
With news that Paul Robinson has already requested a move away from the Hawthorns, the prospect of Wigan lining up a bid to sign Chris Brunt won't make for happy reading.
Wigan boss Steve Bruce is expected to put in a £4.5 million bid for the West Brom winger over the summer. Mowbray has been told by chairman Jeremy Peace that there is no need to sell this close season, although it is hard to see where any money will come from if they don't, as the transfer kitty at the Hawthorns has all but been declared empty.
Peace insists that Albion's stars are not for sale at any price. But if Wigan make good their offer it will certainly test the resolve at West Brom. At that price can they afford to not let him go?
