FA Cup 3rd Round Draw: Home tie for Baggies
By Jemma Tappenden
December 1 2008
West Bromwich Albion have won a home tie for the third round of the FA Cup. The Premiership Baggies will face League One opposition in a tie to be played during the weekend beginning 3rd January. But they won't know who they will face until the round two replay has taken place between Tranmere Rovers and Peterborough.

Last year Albion progressed to the semi finals of the competition before losing out to Portsmouth at wembley.  Ironically a journey that started with a 3-0 victory over Darren Ferguson's Peterborough side.

Meeting Tranmere on the other hand would be a new experience for the Baggies.  The two sides have never drawn each other in this competition before.
