Tony Mowbray's boys however will be searching for that first elusive victory of the season, and with an impressive display ending in unlucky defeat against Everton at the weekend, confidence from the Baggie boys will be high.
Luke Moore has recovered from a thigh injury and looks set to play some part in tomorrow evening's Carling Cup fixture.
Mowbray may well also use the opportunity to play some of his rested players, including Dean Kiely, Carl Hoefkens, Marek Cech, Craig Beattie, Roman Bednar, Pele and Sherjill MacDonald.
Hartlepool on the other hand are likely to start with youngster Alan Power, who will replace midfielder Willie Boland after his injury during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Stockport.
