The question now surely is how to stay there?
Trying to do what both Gary Megson and Bryan Rosbon failed to achieve in Premiership campaigns with the Albion is going to be no easy task. Despite the excitement of 'The Great Escape' season, being battered from post to post week in week out can become quite disheartening.
Mowbray will need to tackle the stigmata of a newly promoted side if he is to attract some half decent faces to the Hawthorns, and before he can even begin this process he needs to know who of his current squad are staying on.
How ironic then that this week, with promotion well and truly on the horizon, certain members of Mowbray's current squad have started making noises about their Albion futures.
Phillips, Gera, Bednar, Kim and Danek have all been subject to speculation this week, and now defender Martin Albrechtsen has thrown his name in to boot.
Albrechtsen very publicly turned down a new deal with Albion in February this year, although he remains hopeful that the board will approach him with a second far more attractive offer soon.
But he has wasted no time in assuring fans that his service at Albion is on strictly a 'you need me more than I need you' basis. Albrechtsen says he is willing to listen to offers from all over the world for is services, with his family happy to follow him anywhere.
As of yet it doesn't appear that any of these global offers have come flooding in. It remains likely that the Dutch defender will hold out for the right deal from West Brom and the chance to play Premeirship football.
