By Robert Stock May 12 2009 Bangor City striker, Chris Sharp, is set to go on trial at Blue Square Premier side Wrexham.
The Citizen's top scorer turned down a move to Welsh Premier rivals, TNS, last week and is now hoping to do enough to persuade Dean Saunders to offer him a contract at the Racecourse Ground.
By signing a contract for Bangor, Sharpy is apparently trying to ensure that bangor gain from any transfer. Admirable loyalty from a player who gives his all wherever he is. Nev Powell obviously made him feel valued and it has to be said that this contrasta with the Craig Jones situation at Rhyl - tho there is surely a lot we don't know about that
..point being that it's win-win for bangor either way. Sharpy's made that possible by signing well before he needed to. As I said, great loyalty and in keeping with his character.
