By Thomas White April 30 2009 As welsh-premier.org.uk rightly predicted fans favourite Andy Legg has been named new manager of Llanelli to replace former manager Peter Nicholas
A statement from LLanelli says
Llanelli AFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Legg as the new manager of Llanelli AFC with immediate effect. This reflects the club's philosophy of promoting from within. Andy has been a great asset to the club since he arrived three seasons ago. He has terrific credentials in taking this position having played at the highest level in league football and for Wales. Andy is a thorough professional who is extremely well respected by players wherever he has gone. His appointment reflects the club's view that it must continue to build for the future and once again maintain a serious challenge for top honours this coming season. Andy will have full flexibility in choosing his management team and the Board will continue to offer its full support to provide Andy with every chance of success. His first game in charge will be on Tuesday night in the West Wales Cup Final when we welcome West End to Stebonheath Park.
Is he going to play? They'll miss his throw as it was a big part of their game. Rhys Griffiths scored from a lot of loose balls in the box after them bombs. Great to watch too
In so many ways, I hope he doesn't play - although he is still very good and goes beyond belief that he is better than most players half his age - so in that respect, I hope he does continue to play... lol weird!
