Hillsborough - 20 years on
By Thomas White
April 15 2009
20 years ago 96 football fans lost their lives while attending the FA Cup Semi final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. While the highly documented debate over who was to blame and other personal memories of the disaster can be found elsewhere - welsh-premier.org.uk wishes to highlight the story of The New Saints keeper Paul Harrision who tragically lost his father and uncle that day.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/04/14/hillsborough-20-years-on-the-story-of-ex-anfield-keeper-paul-harrison-who-lost-his-father-115875-21276951/

Victims' families, survivors and players past and present of which Paul will be included will gather at Anfield today for a remembrance service in which Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool's manager at the time, will give a reading and relatives of the victims will be given the freedom of the city by civic leaders.

On a personal note as an Aberystywth Town FC committee member and former Media officer, many of the young Aber fans who follow the club home and away are also Liverpool fans and are similar age to that of 14 year old Lee Nicol who never made it home on 15th April 1989 and am consciencious that whatever level of football fans are watching they deserve to be safe.
