Due to the last two games being local cup competitions, Roy McFarland was limited to six substitutions. Tonight, however, that restriction is lifted so expect to see changes aplenty, with many youngsters expected to be involved.

Due to the last two games being local cup competitions, Roy McFarland was limited to six substitutions. Tonight, however, that restriction is lifted so expect to see changes aplenty, with many youngsters expected to be involved.
Disappointingly, Bolton will not bring the majority of their star-studded first team, with the exception of local hero Kevin Davies. The Spireite fans are expected to turn out in force for this reduced admission game.
The Trotters are likely to play a number of youngsters as well as a couple of seasoned pro's. This should lift the burden off of Chesterfield and hopefully produce a win. The chances of one of tonights Bolton players being seen in a blue shirt next season could be quite likely, judging by previous friendlies against Leeds and Middlesbrough.
My prediction is a 2-1 win for the Spireites. With the disappointment of Derby fresh in the minds, the players will want to reignite the positive buzz previously surrounding Saltergate.
