Tottenham are 7 points behind in 17th place having played a game more. The two could be considered rivals for a European spot, so a victory for Newcastle would open up a worrying 10 point gap.

Both teams play much better at home Newcastle are undefeated whilst Tottenham although not getting the results have played some good stuff at home this season at times

Who has the better chance in the long term. looking at the two squads a dream team made up from the two would look something like this, in my opinion,

 Goalkeeper- would have to be Given

The defence- collectivly Newcastle's has performed much better individually before the start of the season Tottenham's would have been more highly rated.

 I think a combination of Bale, Taylor, Dawson  Chimbonda

A midfield would look something like this. Lennon, Jenas, Barton, Milner 

The forwards would be the strongest department, where there are many exciting combinations. Berbatov and Keane have done very well for Spurs over the last couple of seasons, but I suppose a combination of Berbatov and Owen would hard to resist with Keane and Martins  very close.
