Spurs - Goodbye to a Legend
By Seggers

Jose Mourinho walked out of the Stamford Bridge doors for the last time yesterday as he said goodbye to his "babys". He brought Chelsea their most succesful 3 years in their history winning 6 trophies. It was a shock to me as it was to many, but, Mourinho is desperate to get back into management, and England is his preferred destination apparently.

Jol takes our boys up to Bolton on Sunday with confidence at an all time high for the season after a thrashing of Cypriot minnows Anothorsis Famagusta by 6 goals to 1. Defeat for either manager is not worth thinking about as it could bring them their P45s if it happens. Should Jol lose again the board may just have had enough and put him out to dry. There has been many rumours of Jose's next post, and with his price of managing Spurs going from 20/1 to 5/2 in just a few hours, someone somewhere knows something although Spurs today distanced themselves from any speculation.

But it could all be a formality with the strength that we have up front. With all our strikers netting at least once for the season now, surely Jol's biggest headache will be who starts up top on Sunday. Defoe, after being told he will rot in the reserves if he doesn't sign a new deal will be desperate to start after 2 beautiful goals last night. Berbs was rested and should be ready to go.

Then there is Keane and Bent. Robbie hasen't caught on fire so far with just 1 goal in 7. Darren wasted 2 good oppotunities on Saturday and again last night, however a run of a few games and he could find the scoring feet he had at Charlton and justify the £16.5 million price tag we forked out for him.

Whatever the team on Sunday they will need to step it up from the performances they have given so far, and bring back the 3 points Jol needs to have a better nights sleep.

He wont come to us. His deal with Chelski will prevent him managing another premiership club this year as is widely reported.

Hes got 25 gazillion quid in the bank, and will put his feet up till Barca come a calling at the end of the season. Or Madrid, or AC or Inter etc.

Why the hell would he come to us?

Mind you if the O's get promoted and feel like they need a new boss..................(Sm14)
