Rose returns

Matthew Rose returned to action following his knee injury, as the reserves thrashed Millwall 6-0 at Northwood on Wednesday evening.
Rose will be in the squad for this weekend's match against Bristol City after coming through the first 45 minutes of an easy victory for Tim Breacker's side.

Ben Walshe, also back after a knee injury, played the second half but there was no outing for Andy Thomson, who continues to nurse a hamstring strain and was not fit enough to be involved.

Brett Angell scored twice, while goals from Ollie Burgess, Leroy Griffiths, Doudou and a Danny Murphy penalty saw off the Lions.

Griffiths set the ball rolling by hitting the net with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, before Angell tapped in from close-range to leave Rangers two-up at the interval.

Angell grabbed his second and Rangers' third from eight yards out, and Burgess pounced on hesitation in the Millwall defence to make it four.

Murphy scored from the spot after Dennis Oli had been fouled in the box, before Doudou completed the rout by rounding goalkeeper Willy Gueret and slotting into an empty net.

The R's line-up included former Bournemouth goalkeeper James Bittner, who joined on a short-term non-contract basis when Nick Culkin and Fraser Digby suffered injuries earlier this season, and has been brought in as cover again now Culkin has been sidelined by a knee problem.

He did well, making second-half saves to deny Cherno Samba and Kevin Braniff, and is likely to be retained until Culkin recovers.
