Manager Mark Wright told the Chester Evening Leader:
“It’s just a case of Carl Regan putting pen to paper today.
“I am wanting him to sign on a one-month loan deal with a view to a permanent deal.
“Jamie Heard is a young lad who has done well since Brady went, but I always want cover for every position and Regan offers a lot more experience.
“Regan is quick, athletic, he can run all day long, and he’s still only a young lad.
“Regan has a chance of starting tomorrow, but then again, everyone has a chance of starting.”
Wright is keen to pick up three points after Saturday’s disappointment, and Regan may prove a valuable part of that.
Striker Mark Beesley looks to have signed for Hereford United, though their is no confirmation of this yet.
Hereford play Forest Green Rover’s tonight.
