Bishop Auckland born striker Connor would relish a move back to the north-east, espeially now that Swansea have bolstered their front line with the signing of Akinfenwa from Torquay.
However Conner has said he wants to make sure that the switch will be right for him and his family. The striker who scored 13 goals for Swansea last season would be a great addition to the Darlington squad.
If Conner puts pen to paper, then it will be the first time Quakers have paid for a player since the arrival of Ian Clark from rivals Hartlepool in 2001.
