The Latest On The Transfer Front
By Tobago Gas
May 19 2003
The signing of Lee Hodges is yet to be confirmed, reason being a medical must be undertaken before the move is official. Bristol Rovers manager Ray Graydon stated that the Hodges deal would be completed by the end of the week and seeing as it's that time there will be a few worried fans about.
Apart from that Ijah Anderson, another hero of the Rovers survival battle has extended his stay at the Memorial Stadium along with Sonny Parker. Young forward David Gilroy has also been handed a 6 month contract to prove himself and hopefully he will be able to establish himself more in the first team than in previous times. Although this news will surely bring a smile to all Gasheads it is yet to be announced whether Andy Rammell, Vitalijs Atasfjevs or Chris Llewellyn have agreed to stay as well with the latter being strongly linked with Swansea.
Vitas', this years Supporters Player of the Season has been offered a contract as has Rambo so Gasheads everywhere will have to be keeping their fingers crossed.
And speaking of Player of the Season, 3rd placed Wayne Carlisle has been called up to the Northern Irish 'B' team and we wish him all the best for the match against Scotland's 'B' team.
