Glen Loovens pulled a goal back for Cardiff City on 68 minutes, after the home side had established a two goal lead, but it was not enough to stop an improving North End side taking all three points and further congest what is rapidly becoming a very tight division. It is now 34 years since we managed at win at Deepdale...
Camerone Jerome was missing from the starting line up and without him Cardiff City look a little punchless upfront. To be fair both of Preston's goals were a result of poor defending, but without Jerome to lead their attack the team from South Wales were always going to struggle to claw their way back into the game.
Apart from hitting the bar early on in the game, both Michael Ricketts and Alan lee did little to impress. Cardiff with only one win in their last six games need to get back to winning ways if they are to continue with their surprising push for a play off place.
