Over 11,000 braved the weather, the lower Bob Bank was flooded, to watch a 0-0 draw with Coventry City at Ninian Park.
The game was not good and not bad but never really got going. Cardiff had enough of the ball to have won the game, but with Alan Lee again failing to take his chance after starting in the first eleven and Cameron Jerome looking increasingly ordinary, what started as a blip could become a problem over the coming weeks. It's over 6 hours since we scored in a competitive game!!!
Coventry defended well and played some tidy football, but a team who before the game were eyeing the playoff places should be getting three points from fixtures like this!
The crowd was once again well below the break even figure of 13,000 and any neutrals who came will not be rushing back. It was mediocre stuff for the majority of the ninety minutes I'm afraid.
This was a bore draw of the worst quality, neither team would have scored if they had played until midnight. Jerome was marked out of the game and Lee was never in it. It is a sad indictment of this didvision that a win on Wednesday at Hillsborough will put us 5th! The football certainly isn't bringing the fans flooding back as only 11,424 bothered to turn up - I wish I hadn't bothered it was mediocre.
Any more would be a waste of the keys onmy keyboard, the only consolation was a point gained..
