Cardiff City's final First Division game of the season will be screened live on Sky television, with the result of the game having a large affect on which clubs will battle it out in the end of season play-off lottery.
Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion have already been promoted to the Premiership, but the play-offs remain tight with no club in the frame guaranteed a spot as it stands. West Ham United, Sunderland and Crystal Palace join the Tractor Boys in occupying the four places at the moment, but Wigan Athletic, Sheffield United and Reading are all still in with a chance of finishing in the top six.
The game will remain a 1pm kick-off, with all fixtures starting at the same time for the final round of matches so no club enjoys an advantage of knowing what result they may need to get. In addition, Crystal Palace's match with Coventry City will also be broadcast live on satellite television, with the Eagles looking for victory to secure a play-off spot.
The Bluebirds will net a decent fee for the game being shown on television, and with the current state of our finances, anything is very welcome! However, it is likely to affect our away following, which has slumped since the play-off chase died a few weeks ago. Victory for City could see them finish as high as 10th, but a bottom-half final placing is still possible.
