WOLVESFC.CO.UK understands that Swedish and former Sunderland and Valencia Defender Joachim Bjorklund is to retire at the end of the season.
The defender signed on a free from Sunderland in the summer of 2004 during a spell in which the Wolves first team were ravaged by injury problems.
The 34 year old has played for Wolves just five times this season and has played only three league games.
Bjorklund is not expected to play any part in Wolves final game of the season against Sheffield United on Sunday meaning his final game in English Football was at Highbury when Wolves crashed out of the FA Cup 2-0.
Bjorklund's contract is to expire over the next couple of weeks and Hoddle has decided not to renew his contract. It is believed the former Swedish International will retire abroad.
