WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers have rejected a written transfer request from Wolves player of the season Henri Camara. The Fans favourite wants to stay in the Premiership.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have turned down a written transfer request from Henri Camara and issued a "hands off" plea to the big clubs in the Premiership.

Last Weekend's game against Spurs was labeled as "Henri Day". Hundreds on fans purchased Senegal Flag in an attempt to keep the star at Molineux, but despite requesting a transfer to a Premiership Club, Henri says his heart still lies at Wolves.

"If I said to you that I wanted to leave Wolves I'd be lying. My heart is here, I love playing here, but I came over to England to play in the Premiership." Said Camara

"Its not about money, just wanting to play in the Premiership. If Wolves had stayed up and Manchester United had come in for me, I wouldn't even have looked at it. But I am desperate to be African Player of the Year and I don't think I'm a First Division player."

Camara is at Molineux on a three-year contract, but as expected, several of the big Premiership clubs are showing huge interest in the Wolves player of the year.

However despite the written transfer request, which was instantly rejected, Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey has assured the Football World than Henri Camara is not for sale.

Camara's Agent, Willie McKay, a well known thorn in the agent world has been offering Camara to Premiership Clubs, something Wolves did not request or expect to happen.

"Willie McKay has been trying to find a Premier League club for Henri against our wishes. Willie and Henri's uncle came to see me and Dave (Jones) the other day and explained what they wanted for Henri." Said Moxey

"We explained our position and reiterated our determination to keep Henri and the nucleus of the team together for next season when we hope to regain our Premier League status. Following that meeting we received the Henri's letter which we immediately rejected."
