Wolves improving Premiership form continued at Fulham`s Temporary Stadium Loftus Road on Saturday. A superb save from Oakes and a fantastic performance from Fulham Goalkeeper Van Der Sar ensured the game finished without score.

Paul Ince was suspended for the game after collecting his 5th yellow card of the season against Manchester City last time out. Icelandic International Joey Gudjonsson replaced the Wolves Captain whilst Paul Butler took the Captained Armband.

Wolves continued with their 4-3-2-1 formation. Blake played as the lone striker ahead of Kenny Miller and Henri Camara. The midfield was made up of Colin Cameron, Joey Gudjonsson and Alex Rae. Naylor, Irwin, Craddock, Butler and Oakes in goal made the back line. Kennedy was named on the bench.

The game started at a high-tempo and it was Gudjonsson, the Ince replacement who was the first to test the Fulham `Keeper.

His first time volley from 25yrds required quick feet from Van Der Sar who supplied without fuss to keep the scores level.

The first half was one which was stopped far too many times by the Referee for the fans liking but Saha should have scored mid-way through the first half but his header from 6yrds was headed wide of the far post.

5 Minutes before the end of the first half Michael Oakes pulled off a superb save. The impressive Steed Malbranque found himself through on goal but his shot from 10yrd was blocked by Oakes.

The second half was one which, for the main, was dominated by the impressive looking Wolves.

Van Der Sar in the Fulham goal made the first of his three great saves just 2 minutes into the half. Jody Craddock`s downward header from a Rae Corner was palmed away to safety, but it was a sign that Wolves would go to win the gome in the second half.

Zat Knight was then turned well by Nathan Blake who wasted a great opportunity by smashing the ball very high and very wide.

On 58 Minutes, Fulham`s Inamoto went down in the box. The referee, Howard Webb blew his whistle and pointed a yellow card in Inamoto`s direction for diving.

Oakes then saved from Malbranque and the Van Der Sar made his second great saved. Mark Kennedy had come on for Kenny Miller and it was Kennedy`s corner which fell to Camara. The Senegal International then hit a blistering shot on the half-volley but the shot was saved by the Van in the Fulham goal.

Ven Der Sar was then back in action two minutes later. Camara produced some great work down the left and his cross was met by Blake who shot towards the top left hand corner but the save was made by Van Der Sar.

Butler headed over twice towards the end, Saha missed another free header and Malbranque hit the bar in the last minute, but Wolves were able to hang on, and best of all, move off bottom place.
