| Colin Cameron scored the first home league goal of the season for Wolves and how important it was. Wolves went on to claim all three points for the first time this season. | |

Dave Jones made a few changes to the team which drew with Bolton at the Reebok Stadium a week ago. Kenny Miller made his first start of the season in place of Newton, Blake returned after injury in place of the injured Steffen Iversen and Henri Camara returned in place of Mark Kennedy. Wolves started the brighter and should really have taken the lead after just 3 minutes. The impressive Blake flicked the ball on to Cameron but the Scots` cross was a little early for the onrushing Kenny Miller. Wolves then started to dominate the game and Camara should have opened his Wolves account 5 minutes later. Butler knocked a Cameron corner into the path of Camara but his red boots struck the well over the bar from just ten yards. Miller was then booked for a late tackle on Sibierski and in first half injury time Camerons corner was just a touch to wide for Alex Rae. HT: Wolves 0 Man City 0 Wolves started the brighter again in the second half and Man Of The Match Colin Cameron had a great effort saved by David Seaman in the City goal just 45 seconds into the restart. Man City then started to come into the game a little more, but efforts from Sinclair and Anelka all failed to test Michael Oakes in the Wolves goal. Alex Rae then hit a superb strike in the 72nd Minute but his powerful shot was well saved by Seaman. On 75 Minutes, the new record 29,386 attendance for the reconstructed Molineux erupted when Colin Cameron scored the first league goal there for over 330 minutes. Henri Camara crossed from the right but his cross was spilled by Seaman, the ball then rolled back out to Camara who`s second cross was headed home by Colin Cameron. The final few minutes were nail biting as Sinclair hit the post and then Oakes made a fabulous save in injury time from Sun. FT:
