"Outclassed" - That was the word on the tips of the tongues of the 4,000 which traveled to Ewood Park yesterday to watch their beloved Wolves run ragged by Blackburn Rovers.

Although Wolves lost 5-1, the Fans, Players and Manager Dave Jones must try and see some of the positives which came out of the defeat whilst, at the same time, try and amend some of the negatives.

The Blackburn Rovers side Wolves played yesterday were far superior than any of us had ever imagined, not only that but the gulf between the Nationwide and "Top 6" in the Premiership is massive, and it`s Blackburn`s respectable league position we must take into account.

Games against Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are exciting, but not for one minute are they our so called "Cup Finals". Our real Cup Finals are the games against fellow relegation opposition. We must beat the likes of the Bolton Wanderers, Leicester City`s and next weeks opponents Charlton Athletic.

Blackburn Rovers were superb yesterday and they will finish in the top 5, they will be edging towards a Champions League spot and not everyone we play will be as good as Rovers were yesterday.

Wolves created six or seven golden chances, which should have been converted into goals and on another day might have been.

Although our composure and finishing was nowhere near the quality of our opposition it proves we are going to get chances in the Premier League, and this could be the difference between Survival and Relegation.

Neither of the three sides which were relegated last year had a goal scorer in double figures, but with Stefen Iversen and Kenny Miller, having players in double figures may be a real possibility.

Not only did Wolves create chances yesterday but the team which started the game was arguably weaker than the one which won at Cardiff in May.

Mark Kennedy, Kenny Miller and Joleon Lescott all missed the game - and the returning of key players such as those will make a huge difference.

Dave Jones is still looking to buy players, and the sooner we get a strong midfield man the better.

It`s not all doom and gloom. In a nutshell Blackburn were superb, Wolves were poor. Blackburn finished their chances off, Wolves failed to.

It`s now time to take it on the chin, forget about it and look for our three points against Charlton at Molineux next Saturday.

The team may not have been up to the standards of those in the top 6  in the Premiership yesterday, but the Fans certainly were.

 Bring on Charlton.
