SILAS IMPRESSES AS WOLVES FALL AGAIN IN PRE-SEASON

Wolverhampton Wanderers have lost yet again in pre-season but unlike in previous poor pre-season results Wolves fans do have something to smile about.

Wolves started new signings Jody Craddock and Silas and both players impressed in a sun-soaked Highfield Road.

However the near full strength team which included Oakes, Irwin, Ince Cameron and trialist Mario Verpakovskis failed to show their Premiership Quality as they went down to Adebola and Calum Davenport strikes.

A good attendance boasted by a thousand or so Wolves fans sore Wolves go one down after 50 minutes.

Dele Adebola found himself with time and space 15 yards from goal and he turned well smashing his first time shot into the top corner via the bar.

Wolves had chances and in particular Adam Proudlock missed four very good chances, and it was failing to take these chances which sore Wolves go two down.

On 72 Minutes Coventry doubled the lead. Calum Davenport headed the ball past Oakes from close range after a McSheffrey free kick.

Silas continued to open up the Coventry back line witch his close control and great eye for the through-ball, but Silas was swapped with Kevin Cooper 15 minutes from time.

And it was Cooper who scored a late consolation for Wolves in superb style. He was awarded time and space and smashed home a superb left-footed strike into the net fro 25 yrds.

Wolves fans must not worry though, as the likes of Camara, Iversen, Luzhny, Okoronkwo et all are all due back into the squad, but with good solid performances from Craddock and Silas Wolves have something to look forward to.
