Auxerre`s Defensive Midfielder Amdy Faye is interested in a move to Wolves according to his agent. Faye is believed to be the ideal solution to Wolves` defensive midfield problems after the Modeste M`Bami deal fell through.

Wolves however will be cautious with Amdy Faye as he shares the same Agent in Willie McKay who Wolves fans believed simply used Wolves to get his client (Modeste M`Bami) a better deal with PSG.

Wolves like to keep their transfer dealings quiet, and did so very well with the signings of Isaac Okoronkwo and Oleg Luzhny but Faye`s agent, McKay is again trying to advertise his player by making public the Wolves interest, possibly in the hope that other clubs will pay an interest.

The 26 year old Senegal International is believed to be interested in a move to Wolves.

Faye`s Agent, Willie McKay told Planet Football "Faye is a top player who is very keen to play in the Premiership and is very interested in coming to Wolverhampton"

"Dave Jones and the chief scout George Foster know all about him and Jez Moxey knows about the financial implications"

"He would cost around £3 Million. He is a Patrick Vieira type-player who is the engine room for Auxerre.

*Willie Mckay also says that the Wolves deal with Cameroon International Goalkeeper Carlos Kameni should be completed next week.
