Jones Wants His Saint

It is believed that Dave Jones is planning to swoop for out-of-favour Southampton striker Marian Pahars.

Dave Jones signed Pahars for Southampton in 1999 for £800,000 from Skonto Riga.

 At a £800,000 bargain Pahars went on to become the Saints leading scorer last season, however ankle injuries have forced him to miss most of this season.

Pahars though is just one name on an ever-growing list of players which have been linked with Wolves in recent weeks.

Celtics Jon Hartson, Villa`s Ian Taylor, Manchester Citys Shaun Goater, Celtics Chris Sutton and Spurs` Teddy Sherringham are just a few of the names to have been linked with Wolves since the return to the top flight.
