One change to today's team, with Helder Costa replacing Benik Afobe. Romaine Saiss is clearly fit to start after a scare during the Derby match.

Line-up: Ruddy, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Saiss, Neves, Douglas, Cavaleiro, Jota, Costa

Substitutes: Norris, Batth, Hause, N'Diaye, Gibbs-White, Afobe, Bonatini

A warm, respectful greeting between Nuno and Garry Monk. It must be difficult for Nuno to know what to say to him knowing he wants another 3 points towards the title, whilst Monk is desperate for points to stay up!!

Well if we win and Nuno goes bananas, at least he's shaken hands before the event!

Fine double save by Ruddy to keep them out. Neves has already been hurt in tackles twice. Brum defending with a six man back line

Cavaleiro hurt with possible muscle tear and probably out for rest of the season. Doc sets up Neves for a special but he fails!! Leo on for Cavaleiro

Seems a bit too physical from Birmingham - desperation I suppose but maiming our lads ain't winning them any friends - or support.

Couple more efforts by Wolves just miss the target.
Perhaps a slightly less dynamic effort than we usually see from Wolves, but they are still always looking to score. Brum went close early on, bringing out a fine double save from Ruddy, but have otherwise posed little threat.

Unlucky for Cav to sustain what looked like a muscle tear & will probably finish his season. One thing I do know is we must set out to sign Willy Boly permanently - what a classy defender he is!!

Birmingham are hardly getting a touch of the ball. This is a master class in passing, especially out from the back. Apart from the dodgy tackles Brum appear to have given up

Birmingham are a vile team of dirty fouling b*astards , the SPRH of football sides converted from human form in layman terms. Half our players look like they are limping and its a miracle none have gone off injured as a result of these challenges

Great day, okay the match wasn’t the finest but who cares. There were some crunching tackles going in , so not sure what the ref was up to at times! I thoughtBlues performed reasonable well with 10, however when either 10 or 11 we were clearly the better side.

I’ve said elsewhere, it was a different type of celebration to 08/09, nevertheless it was excellent. I too was glad there was no pitch invasion, I didn’t think circumstances warranted it, however we did see 3 nutters run on with the obligatory failed man chase plus desparate unceremonious comedy slump to the turf by an overweight steward.

Lovely to witness such happy scenes at full time with a side that has clearly got a great deal of team spirit. Nuno being chucked in the air by the squad was funny though Iwasn’t convinced they were always going to catch him!

By the way, the goals ..... I thought they were both really good and neat. Afobes looked offside for his from my angle, though as nobodies mentioned it, it must have been okay. Again, my criticism is that we really should be scoring more .... and we certainly won’t be getting the wealth of chances next season. Still fab to watch though.

Another word for Ruddy. Yes, we bossed the match but brilliant keeping today, especially the double save early on. An unsung hero for me who has been part of this success story as much as any other. The save I saw him make at Reading was simply wonderful and is one of the very best I have seen from a Wolves goalie.

10/10 for this season. As said, great scenes today which followed a sensational days racing I witnessed at Aintree yesterday, the only sad thing is that it will be my personal final appearance at Molineux for the season .... roll on next year. Will I get as many tickets?

UTW!!

He looked like he'd been sleeping rough, long manky hair round the sides, I think his 3 divorces are catching up with him.

Luckily I didn’t get to see ‘whole body transplant’ Morgan, not surprised he was there, I’m sure he’s the type who enjoys the association of a winning side and probably celebrating his own vital role in it (Sm16)

As for the National, much better this year. As an avid Beatles fan, I went on the Magical Mystery Tour on Friday (a great 4 days in Liverpool). Stopped on the High Street, Wavertree to see George Harrisons birthplace and as we filed out of the coach, we were met by a wise sage who had exited the Betfred bookies which was immediately adjacent, the sage on his way to the Cock and Bottle next door. He said hello, so I requested a tip which he duly supplied without hesitation and then ‘weaved’ his way back to the pub. The tip? Tiger Roll of course and the six of us swore to act upon this mystic advice. The rest, as they say, is history! After the elbow, it was a bit like watching injury time v Cardiff all over again, however as then the good guys prevailed. I did have a few others of my own - nowhere alas. I’ve been to Cheltenham many times and love it, however, for me, Aintree and the Grand National is truly something else. What a day, at Aintree, the National winner and Wolves promoted! We even managed to get up early yesterday and comfortably get to Molineux in time for the pre-match meal (we ‘poshed’ it yesterday).

UTW, viva Tiger Roll and respect to the Wavertree High Street Soothsayer !
