It's derby day as Aston Villa head to Molineux in the EFL Championship. The game finished 1-1 at Villa Park as both sides scored from the penalty spot.

Match facts

This is the first time that Wolves (17th) and Villa (12th) have met at Molineux in the second tier of English football.

Villa have not lost in their last 11 visits to Molineux since May 1978. In fact Wolves have won just one of the last 16 home meetings (D7,L8)

Wolves have won only once against Villa during the last 21 mettings (D6,L14)

Only three of Wolves' goals this season have come from Englishmen, fewer than any other Championship side.

Despite collecting the most bookings in the Championship this season, Villa are yet to receive a single red card.

Wolves defender Danny Batth has made 246 headed clearances in the Championship this season - 61 more than any other player.

Hope he's just being rested and not wishing to rush him back after 14 months of injuries.

I don't think anything has happened to him Ivy - PL thinks he needs to be gradually brought back up to speed

We've been the better side and deservedly take the lead. So, far I had thought Mason had made a couple of poor choices but in the right place at the right time!

Great stuff!

Cab needs to learn that he only needs to go close to Hutton & he will fall over for a free kick, before he gets booked!!

Dicko is being too selfish.

Was not on TV here, so I ended up with the Player on while watching Chelsea crush Leics.
We sounded pretty solid but Dicko is beginning to look jinxed.

A well won three points. Villa never had a shot on target in the 2nd half!! Dicki is so desperate to score it's spoiling his game! Jack Price Man of the Match. 2hich i wouldn't disagree with - a good solid performance from him.

Very good solid performance that could have been a lot easier if Dicko played for the team. He is getting really desperate for a goal, could have got a few assists today but chose to shoot.

I agree, he's got to start producing the goods soon. At least a forward scored today. A useful 3 points.

I enjoyed watching that match. We were clearly the better side especially in the first half, though the spark - to a certain extent - disappeared in the second. Having said that we worked hard throughout and on a match by match basis my faith is growing. Still a long way to go! We do possess a lot of players whose decision making is questionable at key moments and that may just be a quality issue. I thought Price probably was the MOTM.

I'm not complaining too much today - a good solid win, actually achieving what we deserved unlike at the Villa. Always nice beating the Villa.

UTW!!

MOTM for me was Coady...thought he was brilliant and maybe he's found his right position!?!?
