Fans' Parliament Update

By Tom Bason
November 18 2012

First of all, I owe you all an apology – a comment from janet2803 made me realise I’d never updated you all on my Fans’ Parliament application.

I’m pleased to say that my application was successful, and I owe a great deal of gratitude to everyone that nominated me – thank you.

The first Parliament Meeting is to be held on Wednesday 5th December at Molineux, and of course my write-up from that meeting will appear on here, hopefully the following day (although this depends on work commitments).

I’m not 100% sure of the process yet with regard to how the Parliament meetings work; I’m kind of just hoping to go to the first one to suss it out and see what it’s all about.

In addition, I attended the Ståle Solbakken fans forum during the week (not as part of the Fans Parliament, tickets were available to anyone), and ‘live tweeted’ what was being said. This seemed to work quite well and I’ll try to do it again, although I’m not sure whether it’ll be feasible to do this during Parliament meetings.

Again, many apologies for not letting you all know sooner; I kept meaning to do it, then completely forgot, and my sincere appreciation to everyone that nominated you. It’s about time this forum had a representative, and hopefully I’ll do a good job.

Tom

No need to apologise Tom, I'm sure you have been extremely busy in the meantime.

I'm just delighted you have been elected, as I feel you will be ideal for the role.

I agree with you, that it will be great for this forum to have a representative,

Finally, many congratulations. You deserve it! (Sm152)

I've no idea - the first one I can attend is in December. I got an email the other day that I think went to all members - that was sent to 56 email addresses.

Well done on getting on Tom.

I'm a natural cynic about this whole process, however to have an 'insider' is useful.

Have you thought how you would like to receive and represent the views from posters on this forum? Beware the pitfalls - see 'Ginger' and his posts on 'The Wolf' - I'm sure you have already.

Good luck.
