Granted he is a player with a lot to offer and has just come back from two injury plagued seasons, but general feeling after the Swansea away game and Norwich debacle with a long tour of international duty sandwiched between the two, did nothing to justify those initial feelings.
But now we may finally see the promise after the Trinidad & Tobago international seemingly found his feet in the return match against Swansea by setting up one of Big Chris’ disallowed goals and the winner for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
He said: “There’s more of this type of performance to come from Carlos Edwards. I hadn’t made the best of starts here by my own standards. The other players and the manager know what I’m capable of and I hadn’t reached that.
“Tuesday night was a step in the right direction and certainly one of my better performances since arriving at Wolves. I’m feeling more confident that I’m doing the things the manager wants and what I know I’m capable of doing.
“I’m delighted to have started my first home game and assisted Sylvan getting the winner. That’s what I’m here for – to put the crosses in for the strikers to get on the end of and Sylvan took it really well.”
So lets hope this Saturday we start to see the Carlos Edwards we all hope to see.
