The season starts tomorrow and here is our preview for the opening game of the 2006/2007 season, with a trip to Lincoln City.
League Two
Lincoln City v Notts County
At Sincil Bank
K-O: 3pm
Admission: Adults £18, Concessions £12, Children £6
The season finally gets underway tomorrow with our first game being a trip to Lincoln. Lincoln have been unfortunate not to have played League One football in the last couple of years, after repeatedly finishing in the Play-Offs and now under new management.
With both Clubs looking to impress their new Managers and with Notts Manager Steve Thompson bringing in a whole new team should make for an interesting game.
Last Season saw us just avoid relegation and now under new management, and now with the Supporters Trust buying a majority in shares, to take them above 50%, Notts will be looking to make more of an impact on the league this season.
Lincoln failed at the fourth attempt to get promotion via the Play-Offs with a defeat against Lincolnshire rivals Grimsby Town, they will also be looking to get of to a good start this season.
Notts County have failed to win a pre-season friendly, with a loss to Coventry and draws with Hucknall, Blackburn, Arnold, Doncaster and Sheff Utd, where as Lincoln have had a draw against Leicester and a win against Forest both at Sincil Bank.
Players to watch
Notts County: With so many new faces at Notts it is going to be a difficult choice has to which players are key but I would have to pick for this game White and Parkinson has my players to watch.
Lincoln City: The players I am going to have to go with here are Forrester and ex-County player Stallard

Notts C 14

Prediction
After an initial thought of going with Notts to win 2-1. I think it will be a tight game and with Lincoln getting two good results during pre-season against Leicester and Forest at Sincil Bank and with Notts failing to win a game during the pre-season period, I have had a re-think about this game and believe it will be a tight game for both clubs. And have to go for a draw 2-2.
