Notts County have taken the decision pull out of a possible ground share with Nottingham Rugby Club at Meadow Lane, but Nottingham RFC will still get to play there first five National League games at Meadow Lane.
Notts County Football Club has announced on Magpie World that they have withdrawn from discussions with Nottingham Rugby Club over a permanent ground-share. The Football Club will still honours its agreement for the Rugby Club to play their first five National League fixtures at Meadow Lane. Now the Notts County board have taken the decision to end talks with Nottingham RFC over a move for full time at Meadow Lane. Chairman Jeff Moore said: “We have held exhaustive talks for the past two months to try to reach an agreement.” “However, this has not been possible and with the start of our season only two weeks away we need to know exactly where we stand.” “I’m old enough to know to never say never but a permanent ground share with the Rugby Club is not now on our agenda.”
