Beye Commits To Championship Challenge
By Tyne-Talk
May 26 2009
Newcastle United defender Habib Beye has joined Damien Duff in pledging his future to the club, he the 2nd player to openly commit his future to a Championship challenge in the 2009/10 season. The 31 year old told the Official website, nufc.co.uk;

"The players who will be here next year must put this club back in The Premier League. I'm in - I'm a Newcastle player.

I'm under contract, and I will be here next year to put this club back in The Premier League.

I have played for Newcastle for two years and I love this club.

Everyone is responsible for this situation. Every player is responsible.

Everybody must understand it's not just about 11 players or 18 players. It's about a city and the fans, and a lot of people who work at the club. It's hard to think about."

Re: Beye Commits To Championship Challenge
This is wonderful news. Beye can provide some leadership on the back line, and with Steven Taylor staying as well, he can help get the best out of our future skipper.

I`m Happy about this. But again hope he would help the club further buy taking a reduction in his wages to give us more clout in the transfer market.

He gets my vote for captain next season smiling smiley

(Sm128)

Not enough players like him left.

He has my respect if he actually stays.
