Murphy misses out again

Murphy scores for Scots
By grabar
August 2 2011
Jamie Murphy has not been included in the Scotland squad for the friendly with Denmark next week, despite playing so well in recent weeks.

Craig Levein named his Scotland squad this afternoon, and once again he failed to pick anybody who plays for Motherwell, and more particularly Jamie Murphy.

Murphy has been overlooked in favour of guys like James Forrest of Celtic, David Goodwillie of Dundee united, Barry Bannan of Aston Villa and Robert Snodgrass of Leeds. Jamie was in front of two of them for the Under 21s in recent years.

In the recent friendly with Leeds he far outshone Snodgrass watched by Scotland Assistant boss Peter Houston, although he did have a poorer game on Saturday when being watched by the boss himself.

It has been reported he came close to getting a call up, and I guess all he needs to do is keep scoring for Motherwell and he will get not only his call up but the dream move he deserves.
