After Wednesday's 0-0 draw with Falkirk Motherwell rounded off their week with an emphatic 3-0 win away to Aberdeen at Pittodrie

Aberdeen were the liveliere wide in the opening stages with Ruddy having to react well to save from Mulgrew and McDonald. Before Jim O'Brien brought out a save from Langfield at the other end.

After getting a toe hold in the game we took the lead on 29 minutes, Jim O'Brien breezed passed the hapless Grassi before firing in a shot that was half save by Langfield into the path of John Sutton to score from close range.

With five minutes to the break Ruddy proved his worth again when he reacted brilliantly to save a shot from Foster which was deflected by McDonald. As the half moved into stoppage time he had to on his toes to turn a McDonald shot on to the post.

The game was won in the opening ten minutes of the secodn half with two goals that buried the Dons.

The first saw Hateley cross to the far post where Suton headed the ball back into the middle and Jutkiewicz dived bravely to score with his head. There was a moment of doubt as Grassi tried to clear off the line but the linesman was on hand to give the goal immediately.

The second came on 53 minutes a Hateley fre picked out Craigan at the far post and his header was save by Langfield but once again his parry fell for Sutton to stab the ball home.

Well controlled the game from then and held on comfortably to secure a win that moves them up to 5th in the table.

This comes at the end of a very satisfactory week, with wins over St. Mirren and Aberdeen and a draw with Falkirk.
