Paul Jones deserves a starting berth against Luton after his heroics against Bristol Rovers, especially after Andy Marshall’s latest performance.
Marshall is a quality keeper, there’s no question that he’s one of our better players, but if we want to keep Jones we have to play him.
Jones is a vocal keeper, constantly talking to the back four, which is exactly what is needed with three inexperienced players directly in front of him.
Marshall is an excellent shot-stopper and communicates better than Tony Warner – who’s not doing bad for himself now in the Premiership with Fulham – but right now Jones is the form keeper, so why is he on the bench?
