Runners-up in league and cup, not a great double...

For some clubs finishing second in the league and reaching a FA Cup final would be hailed as a success, unfortunately at Old Trafford that isn't the case. With Manchester City sweeping all before them in the Premier League, United had the chance to win some major silverware in the FA Cup but they fell short losing 1-0 in a very forgettable final tie against Chelsea at Wembley.

The 2018-19 season does bring Champions League to Olf Trafford, but many of the players need to improve and play to their potential if the glory days are to return. The style of play is not attractive and whilst fans will tolerate this if trophies are being won, if empty handed it is another matter....

Much work to be done in the 2018 summer holidays...
