This was one of the great comebacks! United were 2-0 down at Selhurst Park against a Crystal Palace side who had out muscled and out fought the Red Devils for the first half and the early minutes of the second half. The Eagles deservedly went in at the break with a one goal lead which quickly became two in the early minutes of the second half. United had played poorly and fans feared the worst but a sensational comeback was on the card and three points grabbed late in the match with a superb last minute blockbuster from Nemanja Matic, his first goal for the club could not have come at a better time.

Andros Townsend's shot deflected in off Victor Lindelof to put Palace ahead after only 11 minutes. Early in the second half Patrick van Aanholt beats David de Gea and Crystal Palace were dreaming of their first win over United in the Premier League. But.... after 55 mins Chris Smalling heads in Antonio Valencia's cross. 2-1!!  On 74 mins - A Nemanja Matic shot was cleared off the line by Christian Benteke then after 76 mins - Romelu Lukaku equalises with a low finish after Alexis Sanchez's shot had deflected up on to the crossbar. Then  David de Gea makes a superb save to keep out a Christian Benteke header... Into injury time and Nemanja Matic stuns Selhurst Park and sends United second with a cracking strike! 2-3!!

"I always believe we can win. I will be like that until my last day," said United boss Jose Mourinho. "You always need that little bit of luck to win a match in the last few minutes. Sometimes the winner is the one who deserves the congratulations but I think Roy Hodgson did everything right."

WOW.
