After The Reds confirmed there back to winning ways with a brilliant 3-2 victory at Spurs Reds Boss Gerard Houllier told the press that Striker El Hadji Diouf will not play in the 2nd leg against Celtic this Thursday.
Houllier said: "We'll have to wait and see what Uefa say first. They will make a decision at some point this week.
"But, either way, I don't think I'll be playing Diouf in this game," he told www.liverpoolfc.tv
The Anfield club have already fined the Senegal star two weeks wages but it looks like UEFA will deal with the Parkhead incident before Thursday return at Anfield.
Uefa spokesman Mike Lee said: "We are aware of Liverpool's decision but we would still like to deal with the case ahead of the second leg.
"We are aiming to conclude that investigation and present it to the disciplinary committee and we expect to publish the decision on Tuesday or Wednesday morning."
