Gerrard on the road to recovery

Steven Gerrard is making excellent progress in his fight to gain fitness  says Kenny Dalglish.  Gerrard has been suffering from an infection which was expected to keep him out for a while, but it’s hoped he’ll be back sooner rather than later.

 

Dalglish said:

"Steven is progressing brilliantly. There is nothing that's been a disappointment other than he's not been available for selection. He'll be available as and when he's over what he's got but everything's going really well. We couldn't ask for more or any greater news from him."

Asked if there was a return date Dalglish answered "No. When he's ready."
