A lot of Blue Square Premier sides tumble in 1st Round
By Nathan Jackson
December 10 2011
The Blue Square Premier won't be as heavily represented as initially suspected in the second round. Lincoln are one of just ten guaranteed second round participants from the Blue Square Premier, with the holders Darlington and highl-flying pair Wrexham and Fleetwood also going out.

Lincoln's 3-1 win at Colwyn Bay has seen the Imps progress in the FA Trophy and results elsewhere mean that City's odds will have already drastically improved. Only City, Alfreton, Barrow, Braintree, Cambridge, Bath, Gateshead, Grimsby, Luton and Ebbsfleet are currently going to be representing the Blue Square Premier in the second round of the FA Trophy.

Telford could make it ten if they beat Nuneaton on Sunday, whereas Newport and Forest Green fight out a replay, whereas Stockport have to travel with high flying BS North side Stalybridge, and Kidderminster will host Vauxhall Motors in a replay at Aggborough after a thrilling 4-4 draw on Saturday. York have to travel to a replay at Solihull Moors.

There were plenty of shocks in the first round.

Alfreton, struggling in the BSP relegation zone beat Playoff hopefuls Southport, Hinckley won at Wrexham, Northwich beat Fleetwood and Droylsden put out last season's beaten finalists Mansfield.

The draw for the second round is made on Monday

Well done to my local side Hinckley. Even though Wrexham didn't play their usual 1st team, Hinckley did what The Imps didn't and won 2-1. It would be great to draw them away in the 2nd round.

No-one will accuse Hinckley of doing it the easy way if they get to the final.....first Wrexham and now Luton.

Good Luck, Mr Gorsky
