Ex-player midweek action
By Matt Lawton
September 17 2011
The midweek fixtures once again saw ex-Leigh players on the scoresheet in the midweek action in the Evo-Stik and North West Counties Leagues.

First to hit the net was Sam Parkinson who scored Atherton Collieries' third goal in their 3-2 home win over Oldham Borough on Monday evening at Alder House.

Tuesday night saw Chris McDonough score for Curzon Ashton in their 3-2 FA Cup Preliminary Round replay defeat away to Bamber Bridge, while Chris Thompson scored Warrington Town's winning goal in a 1-0 win over Prescot Cables and Cayne Hanley scored in Salford City's 5-0 win over Cammell Laird.

The scoring action was rounded up on Wednesday evening when Tom Ince scored Chorley's fourth goal in their 4-1 win away to Burscough and Michael Oates scored twice in Trafford's 4-1 win away to Wakefield, joined on the scoresheet by ex-Leigh centre back Nia Bayunu.

If I can be bothered doing it then this might become a regular feature to stop the site going in to reactivation mode again.
