Dykes on scoresheet in cup shock

Ex-Leigh midfielder Chris Dykes was on the scoresheet on Tuesday evening as his Runcorn Linnets side earned an FA Cup giantkilling with a 4-0 thumping of Mossley at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.

With ex-Leigh goalkeeper Richie Mottram featuring for the hosts and ex Atherton LR player Martin Pearson in goal for Mossley, North West Counties league side Runcorn ran out convincing 4-0 victors over their Evo-Stik First Division North opponents in their FA Cup Preliminary Round replay, with the Linnets earning an away trip to Squires Gate in the First Qualifying Round.

He's also under the impression that Dicko is his number one fan as he keeps spotting him in the crowd at Runcorn games!

He is a nice lad. When I went to st helens fc v Atherton LR a few weeks back, he was in the ground and had a good chat!
