Leeds new boys impress in friendly.

Matt Smith

Leeds played their first pre season game at Farsley on Saturday, and two of the three new signings bagged a goal.  Leeds played two completely different teams in each half, as boss Brian McDermott gave the majority of his squad a run out.

Leeds scored within the first 5 minutes, through Dominic Poleon.  Poleon then turned provider, setting up new boy Matt Smith for a 'debut' goal.  Smith then grabbed his second before half time, and almost completed a hat trick - his shot coming back off the bar.

The second half saw a complete change of personel, and it was another new signing, Noel Hunt, who headed home Leeds' fourth.  The final goal was the best - Aidy White scoring a good individual goal to complete the scoring.

A steady 5-0 win, which will have pleased the manager, and it's off to Slovenia today for another 3 games.
