Leeds 1 Walsall 2
By Andy Baggott

Leeds’ season is in danger of imploding, as Walsall became the latest team to take advantage of their shocking run of form. Since the FA Cup win at Manchester United, Leeds have taken just 6 points from a possible 21 – relegation form, not league winning…
The turnaround of form has been dramatic, and you can almost see the confidence dripping out of the players.  Make no mistake about it, and with respect to Walsall, the team that Simon Grayson put out last night should have coasted to victory.  Players with the pedigree of Snodgrass, McSheffery, Beckford and Kilkenny should be able to beat pretty much any team in this division – however, as we know, it’s not just about ability – it’s about desire, hunger, confidence, and taking your chances – things that are beginning to look ‘a bit dodgy’ at the minute.  This is the time that the players need to stand up and be counted – be brave and want the ball – run through brick walls and play themselves into form. Last night was worrying.  Although they had lots of possession, they failed to create a lot, and teams now look like they figuring Leeds out.  Defend a bit deeper, watch Kilkenny, and exploit a lack of pace in the Leeds defence.  Walsall did that last night, fought like tigers, and came away with the spoils – all Leeds had to show was a fortunate McSheffry goal as his cross looped in.  Leeds need talismatic defender Patrick Kisnorbo back quickly.  The Australian defender has been the star player this season, and it’s no surprise that the recent dip in performance has coincided with his absence.  Many more nights like last night though, and it could be another visit to the play offs – something they must avoid….

Also get Doyle back in - we can see what he brings when he is missing from the side. Not pretty but effective protector of back four.

I suppose this is the test of a good manager. How to get his players back in form when confidence is so low. Simon Grayson is still a new manager, with only about 4 years of experience. From what we have seen so far, he knows how to kickstart his team, but we need this quick. With the next two home matches the test will be really on. We need 6 points from these matches. Let us hope he can do it.

tbh i dno what the fk lowris doing hs been sht since hes joined. no wonder he cant get in the villa side the way hes playing i wouldnt stick him in the fu**ing telford team. we need to start using grella in place of gradel or becchio, hes more than earned his place in the first team. 2 starts all season in the league and one in the cup yet in both combined hes scored over 5 goals with 0 starts ? fu**ing sort out the team.

A horrible passionless display from a group of players still strutting around as the conquerors of man ure.Simon has to tell them that you don't get promoted because of who you are.Team's WILL NOT roll over because we are Leeds United. If you want promotion it has to be EARNED.

So start earning to-morrow cnuts.(Sm118)
