Town manager Paul Jewell says Town really should have beaten Portsmouth at Portman Road yesterday afternoon.
Jewell: "It's the third game running and people will get fed up with me saying it but some of the football we played was terrific, it was as good as any played in the Championship. The only thing missing was the finishing touch.
"We created enough opportunities to be six up. The ref said that to me at half-time. We missed some sitters though and even when we beat the 'keeper it hit our player on the line.
"The passing and movement was spot on and we dominated for the first hour. We could be sitting here just a few points off the Play-Offs but we're not. We are where we are because we've not finished off our chances.
"The goals we gave away were bad goals as well. The second one was a basic error. We are getting punished for our mistakes at the moment but we have to learn from them for next season.
"The result is very frustrating but if we play like that for 46 games, we certainly won't be where we are in the league at the moment."
