Jewell Explains Scotland Situation
By Aston
February 10 2011
Town manager Paul Jewell has explained the situation with Jason Scotland possibly returning to former club Swansea on-loan.

Jewell: "I spoke to Brendan Rodgers on Tuesday and told him that if Jason wanted to go there then they needed to match what we wanted - and we're not asking for anymore than the player's wages, I'm quite happy to keep Jason but I don't want to keep an unhappy player and if we let him go, it would have to be on our terms.

"The Swansea chairman rang me and asked what we would be looking for in a loan deal. I'm told him and I have not heard anything since.

"I don't want to leave us short but at the same time I don't want to keep someone who doesn't want to be here, I will speak to Jason before the weekend to see what the situation is."
