Today at a tribunal in Manchester Delroy Facey's long awaited transfer fee was finally decided.
The outcome was nearer to Town's valuation of the player than Bolton's and Bolton did not seem to be overjoyed with the result. Despite the fee being in Town's favour Chairman David Taylor said the fee could have been a lot better.
Although Facey left for Premiership side Bolton in June, the two clubs could not agree on a fee with Town wanting £500,000 and Bolton offering a mere £25,000.
Town will get £100,000 immediately and with receive £50,000 for every five games Delroy plays. However these payment will not last forever and stop after Delroy has played 25 games. This means Town could earn a possible £350,000, still £150,000 short of what David Taylor wanted.
David Taylor said to the official website that the money would be spent on paying current players' wages and helping to make the financial situation a little more stable. (I blame ITV Digital)
A judge decides the fee at a tribunal so Facey's lack of games last season through injury somehow affects the Chairman's valuation.
