Walker

On the face of it Dave Jones' arrival has hardly produced the new manager boost which so often happens. Two big defeats at high flying Mansfield and Luton were not what the fans expected...

However, after conceding two early goals at Kenilworth Road Pools more than matched their illustrious hosts,  and  there wwre some very solid performances from a very young team.

Brad Walker was the star man aftwr he had to go into back four - after another injury to Bates -, and his return to the first team is one of the plus points of recent weeks.

With Nathan Thomas looking a little bit more like his pre-injury self there are positive signs in the work-rate and the skills on show. Something must click soon and it could well be at home on Saturday when Plymouth arrive.
