Pools game hit by frost
By Charlie Summerbell
February 3 2012
Hartlepool United's League One game at Bury was an early victim of the weather when it was decided on Friday afternoon that the Gigg Lane pitch would not recover from a severe frost in time to get the match on.

The game will now be played on Tuesday, February 28.

The postponement is a blow for boxx Neale Cooper, who has been delighted with the team's recent form and would not welcome an interruption.

However, he is impatient for injured winger James Poole to recover fiitness and the extra week gives him more time.

It means the next Pools game is now next weekend, February 11, when they are at home to Bournemouth, followed three days later with a visit to Preston.

Meanwhile, veteran Nobby Solano has now been confirmed as the new coach of Newcastle Benfield, of the Northern League, though Pools are so far keeping schtum on the situation.

With the former Peruvian international believed to be on big money at Pools, you'd think they'd be relieved to say farewell to a player who does not figure in Cooper's plans. But, what do we know?
